IHF is currently utilizing Microsoft Excel as the engine for its budgeting tool. Below you will find two different files you can download to see how our process can get your finances into focus. The first is optimized for use with Excel 2007, and the second for Excel 97-2003. Both files are the same tool, just for different versions of Excel.

Now that you have the demo downloaded to your computer, we encourage you to play around with some of the functions. This will give you a good idea of how it will work with your own finances. The demo is pre-loaded with 4 months of fictitious data: January through April. This will give you plenty of "loaded" data at the beginning of the year to see how many of the dynamic charts work as well as the comparison data between projected and actual. By only pre-loading 4 months of data, it also gives you 8 months of projected values so you can play with the budgeting functions to see how it will effect finances long-term. We have also added "balloons" to the sheets to point out areas of interest and guide you through some of the functions.
